Delete Volume
Test Description
Delete Volume calls the Windows DeleteVolumeMountPoint API and removes the assigned letters of all partitions except the system partition (the one that your operating system is installed on, usually c:\)
This test changes the hive contents of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices\*. To restore afterwards, you can either backup this key first then restore. Alternatively you can reassign the volume letters using the Disk Management Console (right click on My Computer and click 'Manage'). Although DeleteVolume is a harmless test designed to expose shortcoming in HIPS software, we advise it is used only by experienced users that are sure of the restoration measures outlined above.
